I fail to see why people make such a fuss about moral principles. They always end up clashing with other principles. They always end up antagonizing those who, for no particular reason other than being born on the other side of the earth, don’t share them. Principles are supposed to foster peace, but if you take them seriously, you’ll soon wage a war against the entire planet. I believe the world would be a much safer place if we were taught, collectively, to laugh at them. Here’s my categorical imperative : make sure your conduct never becomes a universal law. In other word, try to be unique. Don’t try to be universal.
